Summary: DIGY11, an ETF linked to Bitcoin, began trading on B3 with the unprecedented promise of paying monthly income in reais to investors. The initiative marks the first offering from OranjeBTC outside of its own treasury.

The Brazilian cryptocurrency market reached a new milestone this Tuesday (15), with the debut of DIGY11, a Bitcoin-linked ETF, on B3. The product, launched by OranjeBTC, stands out for its promise to distribute monthly income in reais to shareholders, and was structured and distributed by Itaú BBA. What is DIGY11 and how does it work

DIGY11 is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that seeks to replicate the performance of Bitcoin, allowing B3 investors to gain exposure to the crypto asset without the need to trade directly on exchanges or custody digital assets. Unlike other ETFs already listed, DIGY11 stands out by offering monthly payments in reais, stemming from OranjeBTC’s yield strategy, which uses part of the bitcoins under management to generate cash flow in local currency.

According to the manager, the product was designed to meet the demand of investors seeking diversification with digital assets but who value predictable cash flow. The fund represents OranjeBTC’s first step in offering financial products to the general public, in addition to its own Bitcoin treasury operations.

Why the monthly income proposal is relevant

Among the cryptocurrency ETFs already available on B3, such as the traditional QBTC11 and HASH11, periodic income distribution is not common. DIGY11 innovates by adopting a policy of monthly payouts in reais, aiming to attract investors who want to combine exposure to Bitcoin’s appreciation potential with a recurring income component.

This feature can broaden the profile of those interested in the product, ranging from institutional investors to individuals seeking passive income, typical of real estate funds or stock dividends. The strategy can also serve as an alternative for those who want regulated exposure to Bitcoin without extreme volatility on their entire portfolio.

Brazilian crypto ETF market: scenario and expectations

The launch of DIGY11 comes at a time of growing institutional interest in digital assets in Brazil. Since 2021, B3 has already listed other ETFs tied to cryptocurrencies, following the sector’s maturation and investors’ search for regulated instruments. According to data from the exchange itself, crypto ETFs moved more than R$ 2 billion by the first half of 2026, highlighting the appetite for indirect exposure to these assets.

Itaú BBA’s involvement in structuring and distributing the new ETF reinforces the entry of major financial institutions into the segment, which may contribute to greater liquidity and credibility for the product. The market expects DIGY11 to stimulate competition and bring new alternatives for those seeking diversification, especially amid macroeconomic uncertainties and cryptocurrency volatility.

What to watch next

The coming months will be important to assess investor uptake of DIGY11 and the sustainability of its monthly income policy. Issues such as the efficiency of generating cash flow in reais, the impact of Bitcoin’s volatility on payments, and the ETF’s price performance on B3 will be on the market’s radar.

Moreover, DIGY11’s success could encourage the emergence of new hybrid products, combining crypto asset exposure and income strategies, especially if demand remains strong. Regulatory advances and the participation of traditional banks tend to drive the sector’s sophistication in Brazil.
